Carpet Cleaning Basics
Cleaning Steps: What to expect...
Since a large portion of your carpet soil is in dry form, the first step is to spend time removing it before any moisture is applied.
Combining both commercial grade vacuums with a specialized machine to straighten out fibers, we spend the needed time to remove as much dry soil out of the carpet as possible before any moisture is applied. This is one of the most important steps in cleaning and we feel that many cleaning companies overlook the importance of this step. Vacuuming should be more then pushing a vacuum around a room.
After removing as much of the dry soil as possible, spots and stains are then treated to help break them up prior to the main Green cleaning agents being applied. We also carry a variety of different spot and stain treatments to aid in those hard to remove spots.
The next step is to apply a Green cleaning agent to all areas being cared for. This agent helps break up the oils, dirt, and other soils in the carpet fibers and encapsulate them for removal. It is then worked in by a gentle but through brush machine that cleans and grooms the fiber once more.
Drying is much quicker then traditional steam cleaning. Drying times depend on air movement in the home, carpet type, and other weather related conditions. Typical drying times vary between half an hour to three hours*.
Care after cleaning:
It is a good idea to vacuum the entire cleaned area a couple of times over the next few days. This will aid in removing the left over encapsulated soiling after cleaning.
